ESS is pleased to welcome Craig Wood as Principal Scientist in our Ecological Services & Environmental Permitting Practice. With more than 26 years of experience, Craig is a recognized expert in the area of freshwater and coastal wetlands. At ESS, Craig will be managing projects, serving as a subject matter expert, and leading business development efforts to grow our ecological and natural resource service offerings. ESS SVP Chris Rein Appointed to RIMFC Bluefish & Weakfish Advisory Panel

As a member of the Rhode Island Marine Fisheries Council (RIMFC), ESS Senior Vice President Chris Rein was appointed as the Chairperson for the Advisory Panel on Bluefish and Weakfish. RIMFC Advisory Panels are chaired by a RIMFC council member and are comprised of members of commercial and recreational fishing user groups, as well as a technical staff person from the RI Division of Fish and Wildlife and a scientific advisor. The Advisory Panel on Bluefish and Weakfish will undertake a variety of topics, including commercial and recreational fishery regulations.

On May 20-21, Senior Vice President Chris Rein and Vice President Steve Wood will be exhibiting at the Independent Power Producers of New York's annual Spring Conference, a two-day event that gathers over 100 energy industry members, executives, and policy makers. The main focus this year will be on the integration of distributed energy resources and the resulting impacts on system reliability, consumers, and competitive markets across New York.

EBEE Awards

ESS is pleased to continue its support of the Environmental Business Council by sponsoring the Annual EBEE Awards again this year. The event celebrates outstanding achievements in the environmental/energy industry. This year's event will be held on Wednesday, May 21 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. Congrats to all the candidates and winners!
