The ESS team of scientists, engineers, and regulatory specialists provides a comprehensive range of services related to energy facility development, land and waterfront development, water resource management and ecology, and industrial permitting and compliance. A Primary Focus in Energy, Including Renewable Generation

ESS has led the project planning, licensing, and construction efforts for more than 10,500 MW of electric power generation, 600 miles of overland and submarine electric transmission, and 1500 MW of renewable energy, including Cape Wind, a 450+ MW offshore wind farm. ESS energy projects have also included natural gas storage and transmission facilities, biomass-based generation, and support for regional and national energy policy development.

Coastal and Offshore Projects Are Our Specialty

Offshore and coastal ocean environments require specialized construction techniques, installation technologies, and impact mitigation strategies. ESS has aquatic ecologists, coastal engineers, coastal geologists, and water quality experts who regularly implement field surveys and prepare environmental impact statements for these projects. We also conduct environmental monitoring programs, watershed studies, natural resource damage assessments, dredging, and shoreline stabilization projects in both marine and freshwater systems.
