Construction Administration / Civil Engineering Support

ESS engineers have years of experience providing full life cycle civil engineering services including construction oversight and administration. They understand the demands of project construction and have the expertise to keep projects on track and in compliance with schedules, budgets, and permit conditions. ESS construction phase administrators:

• Evaluate contractor bids
• Negotiate contractor change orders
• Serve as owner's representative for contractor performance
• Develop soil and groundwater management plans
• Respond to requests for information
• Process shop drawings and submittals
• Evaluate/design field changes
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies
• Address reporting requirements

On-Site Monitoring and Inspection

ESS engineers and scientists are available for short- or long-term on-site assignments to provide environmental monitoring and compliance inspection services during construction. ESS inspectors observe construction activities to ensure that construction management plans are being correctly implemented and that construction methods and activities comply with permit conditions and construction specifications. ESS inspectors complete daily and weekly reports as directed by the client and file periodic reports to regulatory agencies as required.
