ESS Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our highly successful and growing Energy & Industrial Services Practice. The successful candidate will have 10+ years experience managing projects involving the development of energy (fossil, biomass, wind, cogeneration, transmission, natural gas storage) and industrial facilities. Projects may also involve regulatory compliance management (air, water, waste, health and safety). This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the strategic planning and growth of the Energy & Industrial Services Practice and of the company overall.

Eligible candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, extensive knowledge of state and federal regulatory programs, professional relationships within the energy/industrial community in the northeast states, and demonstrated ability to develop new clients and business. This position requires an individual who understands a high performance culture and is motivated to achieve with minimal supervision. Specific experience with air quality permitting and dispersion modeling, as well as noise impact analyses, is preferred.

The Senior Project Manager will:

• Actively lead and conduct technical and regulatory analysis, including comprehensive environmental impact analyses;
• Manage technical staff on project-related activities;
• Prepare scope and budget proposals and participate in business development presentations;
• Develop and execute business development plans, including identification of business sector opportunities, potential energy and industrial company/facility clients, and participation in professional networking organizations;
• Contribute to company-wide cross-practice business development plans and seek business opportunities related to all ESS Group, Inc. Practice Areas;
• Aid in technical and professional growth of staff; and
• Be self-motivated, possess superior written and oral communication skills, and be comfortable working both solo and on team assignments.
