ESS Group, Inc. has experience in performance of wildlife habitat and ecological inventories, including small mammal sampling to determine diversity; vernal pool and herpetological investigations; as well as habitat evaluations required under state and federal regulations. Our habitat management plans have helped our clients become better overall stewards by increasing the ecological value of their properties. Supporting this effort is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists with broad expertise in ecological preservation, including determination of site utilization by threatened and endangered species and the design of habitat restoration and mitigation plans as required by various regulatory agencies.
Our scientists are familiar with the structure and function of all northeastern habitat types, and our staff includes specialists in the application of strategies to control invasive and exotic plant and insect species using biological controls, replacement plantations, mechanical means and, where appropriate, chemical applications.
Our data-linked GIS mapping capabilities allow us to provide easily updated interactive reports and presentations to our clients and their target audiences. ESS staff can help guide you through the complex protocols for ecological assessment in a cost-effective manner on both small and large projects.
