William Chapman is leader of the Environmental Geosciences and Engineering Practice. He has more than 18 years of experience managing environmental site assessments and remediation projects. Mr. Chapman advises buyers, sellers, and financial institutions on contaminant-related liabilities, and is familiar with state and federal funding mechanisms available for Brownfield projects and other assessment and remediation activities. He has extensive experience with regulatory requirements and construction management for industrial and mixed-use residential and commercial projects, and has had recent success assisting non-profit community development corporations with projects on challenging urban sites.
Mr. Chapman has experience throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. He is familiar with the environmental regulations and policies that govern multiple states as they relate to petroleum product and chemical substance releases and environmental assessment and remediation. His particular expertise is the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and he has been involved with hundreds of assessment and remedial response actions throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with particular focus on urban settings. Mr. Chapman and his team also have experience in dredged materials evaluation and management and in conducting hydrogeological investigations for water supply development and water resource projects.
