ESS provides comprehensive water resource management and ecological services for freshwater and marine environments. ESS has completed hundreds of water resource management projects and natural resource evaluations. With more than 30 years of regulatory and technical experience, our comprehensive water resource management and environmental science services include:

Water Resource Management Expertise

ESS water specialists have considerable experience in characterizing groundwater and surface water systems to support both clean water and contaminated water projects. They have expertise in water modeling to predict flows, safe yield, and contaminant fate and transport. ESS has completed more than 50 comprehensive watershed management evaluations, and regularly works with public and private interests to design and implement programs for stormwater management. ESS has permitted projects of all sizes that require discharge or withdrawal permits for their potential to impact lakes, rivers, estuaries and open ocean water resources.

Comprehensive Ecological Services

ESS ecological services range from wetlands delineation and wildlife inventories to impact assessments and habitat restoration. Recent assignments have included avian and bat studies for wind energy projects, reptile and amphibian surveys for linear siting assessments, and marine mammal habitat evaluations for offshore cable installations. ESS has completed numerous natural resource damage assessments and habitat restorations. We also conduct post-construction monitoring allowing us to partner with clients from project conception to successful completion.
