Wetland & Ecological Evaluations

ESS has been conducting wetland evaluations for public and private sector clients for more than 20 years. Our environmental consulting for wetlands and ecological resources begins with wetland delineation, and continues through design and permitting. ESS also assists with wetland conservation during construction and provides post-construction monitoring and wetland restoration services. Our wetland consulting services employ a variety of methods and tools including field surveys, photogrammetric interpretation, remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems data, and environmental modeling.

Team Approach to Wetland Evaluation

ESS has in-house wetland scientists, water resource specialists, ecologists, botanists, soils scientists, wildlife biologists, and resource planners who form a multi-disciplinary team able to evaluate wetlands and ecological resources holistically and systematically. This team approach considers all physical, chemical, and biological factors that may impact project design, as well as the many permitting requirements associated with wetland conservation and ecological resources. Our multi-disciplinary scientific approach to impact assessments is preferred by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and state regulatory agencies early and our team’s early input into site evaluations and project design helps clients minimize or avoid ecological impacts.
